Wise People Produce Wise Quotes. Do You Know Any?

Wise quotes are sometimes hard to find especially these days when we tend to only hear about quotes from movies. These quotes will offer a breath of fresh air.

Plato:
"Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something"

Baltasar Gracian:
"Without courage, wisdom bears no fruit."

Stephen Vincent Benét:
"We thought, because we had power, we had wisdom."

Ella Wheeler Wilcox:
"The truest greatness lies in being kind, the truest wisdom in a happy mind."

Oprah Winfrey:
"Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself."

David Starr Jordan:
"Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it."

Sidonie Gabrielle quotes:
"Be happy. It's one way of being wise."

Great thinkers, leaders and other famous people have left many wise quotes for us to remember them by, the list continues

Albert Einstein quotes:
"Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it" Aeschylus:
"Wisdom comes alone through suffering."

Ralph Waldo Emerson
"The invariable mark of wisdom is to see the miraculous in the common."

Reinhold Niebuhr:
"Lord, give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."

Brigitte Bardot:
"I gave my beauty and my youth to men. I am going to give my wisdom and experience to animals."

Tobias Smollett:
"Some folks are wise and some are otherwise."

The Talmud:
"Everyone whose deeds are more than his wisdom, his wisdom endures. And everyone whose wisdom is more than his deeds, his wisdom does not endure."

Martin Fischer:
"Knowledge is a process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification."

Walter Lippmann:
"It requires wisdom to understand wisdom; the music is nothing if the audience is deaf."

Panchatantra:
"A wise man, to accomplish his end, may even carry his foe on his shoulder."

The interesting thing about most wise quotes is that the people quoted as saying them probably had no intention of those quotes being interpreted as wise. That just might be the greatest quality of wise people; that sense of unintentional.
