• Take some time to bring your career skills up to date.Acquiring additional training is well worth the investment. It will ensure that you are current and abreast with the latestdevelopments in your field.

Keep your eye out for opportunities to add to your repertoire of skills. Things like online seminars and workshops are a great way to brush up or gain new skills.

• In the unfortunate event that you are laid off you don't want to be caught with your tail between your legs. Just in case-you want to be ready. Start by updating your resume now.

Think about all the skills you've acquired in the last few years and take account of it in advance. Make sure you highlight your best skills and accomplishments. This will ensure that you are resume-ready should a pink slip ever roll your way.
