Discover The Power Of Self Esteem Exercises And Why You Need To Start Using Them

Performing self esteem exercises is an excellent choice for anyone concerned with self growth and improving their self image. Here is one such exercise to help you do just that.

Time to do a little soul searching. Dig deep down and list a few traits that describe you best and separate them into the following categories.

  • Category 1: Personality. What kind of personality do you have? If you are thinking of putting something like "shy with new people" consider putting a more positive comment like, "Very calm and relaxed with family and friends and in familiar situations"

  • Category 2: Social interactionsInstead of putting something like "afraid of working in large groups", try to maintain the positivity by including something like "Comfortable and effective in small intimate groups"

  • Category 3: General demeanorAgain here is a suggestion of how you may be able to tweak a characteristic into something more positive.

Perhaps you may feel like putting that you "easily get distracted and lose focus under stressful situations".Instead think about putting "very organized once I take breaks".

  • Category 4: Physical appearanceThese exercises are meant to help you develop higher self esteem. The way you see yourself physically is often one of the most important facets to a positive self image. So instead saying that you "are too fat",or that you "need to lose weight", just simply state your weight and nothing else.

If you think your nose is disfigured don't put that, instead you might want to say that you have a very distinctive and unique nose.

Self esteem exercises like the one mentioned above is something that should be done on a regular basis. Understanding the power of your words and how your view yourself can be life changing. Share this exercise with your friends and family and see where changes can be made for them as well.
