If you are applying for any kind of leadership position, here are some of the leadership interview questions that an employermay ask.

Interviews are a key way for an employer to get a glimpse into the kind of employee you will be. Leadership positions require a particularly thorough interview process.

Employers need to know whether your leadership skills are up to par, they want to pinpoint what kind of leadership style you might possess.

They will formulate questions that will let them know if your style matches their particular work environment.

Here are a few questions that you may get:

  • What are some of your objectives or expectations for the position?

  • What is your greatest success to date with leading a team? Briefly describe that experience and exactly how you played an integral role.

  • What would your peers and colleagues say about your leadership skills?

  • What is your greatest strength as a leader and your greatest weakness?

Remember, these kind of interview questions are designed to illicit certain answers from you. These employers want to know just how qualified you are and they want to see if you are prepared for the kind of responsibilities that the jobrequires.

  • How do you plan to make the people below you respect you? What have you done in the past?

  • Do you understand the difference between management and leadership?

  • How are you able to keep your team driven and motivated?

Hopefully these few leadership interview questions will make you a little bit more prepared for the interview.
